About Me

Hi, I am Safiya. Thank you for being here.

From a young age, I had a passion to help people. This drive and determination carried me through my decisions.
I realized the key to this is being focused on building and maintaining meaningful relationships. My strengths lie in being a good listener and guiding my coachee in each session. Each session will be focused on you, your goals, your aspirations and how I can help you. I will support you.
I have a degree in Social Anthropology which has helped me to deeply understand cultures and the impact society can have on our growth. Above all, it has taught me acceptance without judgement.
I am currently studying Neuroscience at Kings College London to help me better understand how our mind processes emotions and why we behave in certain ways.
I work to make my coachee feel safe, heard, and empowered allowing them to think through their struggles and challenges.
With my coachee, I want to honour boundaries and be honest about their capabilities. I believe every individual already possesses the qualities needed to overcome their obstacles. I will challenge my coachee to take action, whilst supporting and cheerleading them.
I am often caught saying: “What is one change you can implement today?”
I have completed my coach training with Ride the Wave, a programme accredited by the Association for Coaching.
At Ride the Wave we believe that real life challenges are like waves in the ocean, they are a natural and powerful force. It’s how you deal with the waves you face that determine how you and your organisation will thrive and survive.

I am also a member of the Association for Coaching and working towards my Foundation Coach accreditation.

The Association for Coaching® (AC) is a leading independent, and not-for-profit professional body dedicated to promoting best practice and raising the awareness and standards of coaching, worldwide.
